This workshop will introduce you to different types of charcoal, use of putty eraser and toned papers. Charcoal is naturally a loose drawing medium, however, can also be used with precision. Charcoal produces rich, strong darks and can be applied and manipulated quickly. It is a great medium for modelling and developing facial details and features.

Materials required:
Willow charcoal, Compressed charcoal, compressed charcoal pencil.
White charcoal pencil, Putty (kneaded) eraser
Blending stump
Working clothes to wear as charcoal is a bit messy to work with
