Marches Independent Photography Exhibition
Saturday 24th September – Saturday 29th October
Marches Independent Photography is a loose-knit group of independently-minded photographers living in Shropshire, The Marches and beyond. This is our ninth group exhibition and we hope it demonstrates the quality & diversity of images produced by members. The photographers predominantly produce thematically coherent bodies of work in a variety of styles and approaches to the medium, encompassing landscape, documentary, portraiture, street and others.
Photographic diversity is the key to an exhibition at the Willow Gallery in Oswestry. The show has been produced by Marches Independent Photography, a group of independently-minded photographers living in Shropshire, The Marches and surrounding areas. It is their ninth group exhibition and demonstrates the quality and variety of images produced by members, who predominantly create thematically coherent bodies of work. A multiplicity of photographic styles can be expected, encompassing landscape, documentary, portraiture, street and other approaches. There will even be photographs taken at the venue in 2010 just before Roy Evans’ garage was taken over by Peter Vidal to become The Willow Gallery. In all there will be thematically linked groups of pictures by fifteen photographers. The group is happy to welcome new members who are interested in taking part in MIP’s programme of talks, workshops and visits, all in an atmosphere of sharing, encouragement and non-competitiveness.
