Drawing Portraits with David Bannister

An exciting exploration into drawing portraits. David will introduce you to basic techniques in drawing with line and tone to achieve likeness and expressive portraits.
Using pencil, charcoal and paper you will look at proportion, shading, expression and capturing facial characteristics. You will also learn about human anatomy, and understand more about drawing and mark making.
Materials required: A4 Sketchbook ,Pencils, charcoal, conte crayon. Neadable (putty rubber), blending stick (tortillon), masking tape, fixative (or strong hold hairspray).
Please bring A4 Printed image to work from, their will be a live model to work from for part of the workshop.
