Saturday 3rd October. 10:30am to 3pm

Price: £80 per person includes all materials, use of any equipment and kiln firings. Please note: There is a break for lunch: lunch is not included in the price. Booking essential, maximum 8 places.

Create a fabulous and unique free-standing serpentine wave form in fused glass; finished size is approximately 16cms tall by 38cms long by 5cms deep.
Gorgeous in your home, create a design to catch the light. Or make the perfect handmade gift for someone special.

Jill Bagnall, designer-maker at Fusing Ideas Glass, will introduce you to kiln-forming and the skills required to create a beautiful & unique work of art. Everything you need is supplied, plus guidance and advice to create your design; no previous experience is necessary.

Itinerary: After an introduction to safety, tools & equipment and terms & processes, you will learn about the glass you will be using. Jill will teach you how to handle, cut and nibble sheet glass safely & introduce some design ideas & techniques.

Using clear and coloured sheet glass and ‘accessory glass’ you will create your unique design, so feel free to bring pictures for inspiration. It could be abstract, seasonal or created to co-ordinate in your home, Jill will guide and advise how you can achieve it using the materials available.

Your fabulous work will be first fused and then slumped at Jill’s studio during the following 2 weeks and delivered back to the Willow for you to collect from Saturday 17th October. Alternatively, it can be posted out to you for a flat fee of £12, via DPD.

Workshop Health & Safety

 • Wear closed shoes – no sandals or open toes!
• Wear comfortable clothing; trousers/jeans (no turn-ups) and preferably not tucked into boots.
• All materials and equipment, including safety equipment, will be supplied. • Minimum age unaccompanied is 16. Minimum age accompanied is 12.
• A steady hand is required, however, contact Jill (07941 232218) before you book if this is an issue.

N.B You will be expected to help keep the workshop tidy & safe for us all to use.
