Spring Glass Fusing Workshop with Jill Bagnall
Saturday April 11th, 2020, 10:30 am to 3:00 pm
Price: £75 per person includes all materials, use of equipment and kiln firings.
Create your own fabulous, free-standing, glass curve, finished size approximately 22cm wide by 17cm tall by 10cm deep. Gorgeous in front of a window or as a candle or lamp shield. And a fabulous handmade gift.
Jill Bagnall, designer-maker at Fusing Ideas Glass, will introduce you to kiln-forming and the skills required to create a beautiful & unique work of art. Everything you need is supplied, plus guidance and advice to create your design; no previous experience is necessary. Creativity Unleashed; the perfect way to relax & unwind.
Please note: There is a break for lunch; lunch is not included in the price.

After an introduction to safety, tools & equipment and terms & processes, you will learn about the glass you will be using. Jill will teach you how to handle, cut and nibble sheet glass safely and introduce some design ideas & techniques.
Using clear and coloured sheet glass and ‘accessory glass’ you will create your unique design, so feel free to bring pictures for inspiration. Jill will guide and advise how you can achieve it using the materials available.

Your fabulous work will be first fused and then slumped at Jill’s studio during the following 2 weeks and delivered back to the Willow for you to collect from Saturday 25th April. Alternatively, it can be posted out to you for a flat fee of £12, via DPD.
Workshop Health & Safety
• Wear closed shoes – no sandals or open toes! • Wear comfortable clothing; trousers/jeans (no turn-ups) and preferably not tucked you’re your boots. • All materials and equipment, including safety equipment, will be supplied. • Minimum age unaccompanied is 16. Minimum age accompanied is 12. • A steady hand is required, however, contact Jill (07941 232218) before you book if this is an issue.
N.B You will be expected to help keep the workshop tidy & safe for us all to use.
